Overview

RCM/FMECA Workbench facilitates the process of maintenance tactics analysis, implementation, and continuous improvement. This can be done by using existing SAP Plant Maintenance Technical Object Structures and Catalogues. The creation or updating of Task Lists with the RCM/FMECA outcomes is also possible.

Key features include:

There are many solutions on the market that provide RCM and FMECA functionality, but the challenge has always been the implementation and change control of the analysis results into SAP.

The Collaborit RCM/FMECA Workbench resides within SAP. It uses existing SAP Plant Maintenance Structures for the analysis and implementation of maintenance tactics.

The Strategy Cockpit is used by Reliability Engineers during the RCM/FMECA facilitation sessions. It is used to capture functions, functional failures, failure modes and effects as well as the recommended mitigation actions.

The Tactical Cockpit is used by Maintenance Planners to create and update Task Lists with the mitigating actions identified during the analysis sessions. One of the challenges of the RCM/FMECA process is the ability to realize the benefits through the implementation of the suggested actions. RCM/FMECA Workbench provides functionality to plan, assign responsibility, and trace the implementation of the mitigating actions. Actions are linked to Task lists, Maintenance Plans, Maintenance Items and Measuring Points ensuring traceability of the end-to-end process.

An Intuitive User Interface within SAP enhances the ease of use with drag-and-drop functionality. It utilizes existing SAP master data to fast track the RCM/FMECA process. Thanks to RCA tools, the use of existing SAP transactional data during the analysis process is enabled. The Interface provides a central repository for all RCM/FMECA activities within the company.

The definition of risk differs between organizations and industries. That is why the Flexible Multi-Dimensional Risk Analysis solution allows for the creation of multiple risk profiles.  Any number of risk profiles can be used, thereby providing for a multi-dimensional risk analysis. For each failure mode, the effect is analyzed consistently through a relative risk calculation and index.

User Defined Decision Profiles is based on a custom definable question/answer decision tree that provides a guide in the determination of appropriate mitigating actions. As questions are answered using the decision tree, mitigating actions are automatically created for later use in Task Lists.

The Automatic Generation of Functions, Failures & Failure Modes utilizes existing master data defined in SAP Classification and/or Catalogue Profiles to assist in the generation of equipment functions, functional failures, and failure modes. The failure mode analysis will generate proposals based on all possible combinations of Causes and Damages in the associated Catalogue Profile.

The Notification and Order reports obtained through the RCA Tools to Analyze Failure Modes provide quick and flexible access to historic failure data as inputs to the analysis.
