Master Data Migrator

Master Data Migrator provides a solution for the collection and migration of Plant Maintenance master data. This is done in a controlled manner ensuring a high-level of data integrity. It eliminates the need for custom upload programs to be developed.

Collaborit’s Master Data Migrator solution can be used for both new SAP Plant Maintenance (“SAP PM”) implementation projects or for master data clean-up and rework projects.

Key Features:

Data migration requirements are unique for each project and dependent on the type of and availability of legacy data, the SAP PM Design, as well as the availability and skills level of the data migration team. Up to 16 different SAP PM and related data elements could be required for collection and uploading.

Some SAP PM data elements are complex hierarchical structures e.g. Task Lists which have the below components:

The large volumes and complexity associated with SAP PM Master Data require a highly controlled method for data collection, enrichment, formatting and uploading. The Collaborit Master Data Migrator is the perfect tool for this purpose. It has many advantages including the facilitation of an end-to-end data migration and/or clean-up process, is customisable and deployed based on each organization’s SAP PM design, populated with SAP configuration and master data for referential integrity and field value checks, as well as validation and referential integrity checks performed as the data is collected.

Referential checks to master data of MM and CO are included and the solution is customisable to cater for legacy systems’ data structures. The mapping tables covert field values from old to new and it can be used in conjunction with MS Excel. Visual Basic procedures export data to the required format and eliminate the need to develop custom upload programs or LSMWs. Collaborit’s Master Data Migrator provides the tools to extract SAP PM master data from existing systems into the Master Data Migrator for clean-up.
